Heather Agnew

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Heather Agnew is Registered Psychologist specializing in comprehensive psychological assessments for adolescents and adults. She began my career in Scotland, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology before relocating to Canada. She has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including the Scottish Association for Mental Health and Woods Homes, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. She later completed her Master of Counselling in Counselling Psychology, further strengthening her clinical and assessment expertise.

Heather’s primary area of focus is formal psychological assessment, with particular interest in Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She is passionate about helping individuals gain clarity, understanding, and validation through the assessment process. Heather recognizes that seeking an assessment can feel overwhelming, and she strives to create a supportive, respectful, and collaborative experience from start to finish.

Heather takes a client-centered approach to assessments, ensuring that each evaluation considers the individual’s unique history, strengths, and lived experiences. Her goal is to provide clear, thorough, and meaningful results that help guide next steps for treatment, accommodations, or personal understanding.

Currently, Heather is offering psychological assessment services only and is not providing ongoing therapy or counselling services.

Outside of her professional work, Heather enjoys spending time at the hockey arena cheering on her children, travelling, and planning day trips with friends and family. A fun fact about Heather is that she is a certified scuba diving master and has explored dive sites around the world.
