M.A. (she/her)
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Leah is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Prior to working at Wayfound, Leah obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Genetics providing her with a profound background in biology. She then went on to obtain her Master’s in Counselling Psychology where she had the opportunity to work with adolescents at one of the local high schools as an interim school counsellor.
Leah works with older children, adolescents and adults in an individual setting supporting clients with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, academic stress, peer conflict, and current or past trauma. Her ultimate goal is to create a safe and encouraging space that allows each client to utilize their own strengths to foster a more meaningful life. By utilizing an eclectic approach, drawing from solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, a biopsychosocial approach and mindfulness, she can determine the root cause of the problem and together her and her client can collaboratively come up with an individualized treatment plan.
